Can you help with Johnny's medical expenses? God bless you.
Johnny's Story
Johnny was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS) three years ago. It has advanced steadily until now. Johnny's breathing is assisted by a respirator through a tracheostomy. Johnny loves life and specifically ordered the feeding tube - "peg" - in June, 2007 and also the LTV 900 respirator. After 8 weeks of hyberbaric oxygen treatments at Jackson Memorial, his doctors recommended these support systems.
He was going for speech therapy and breathing treatments to prepare him for a diaphragm stimulator in January, 2008. Unfortunately, he suffered a heart attack on November 25th of 2007 and has since been on the trach. He is doing remarkably well and is improving day by day.
This blog has been set up to help in raising awareness of the needs of ALS patients as well as facilitating the raising of funds to offset John's medical costs.
I love Johnny dearly and I want to alleviate his suffering and make him comfortable as possible. Presently, he is resting at home but requires extensive nursing care. We thank you in advance for your prayers and any support you can give. God bless you - Debbie Miller
